Whānau Mai Tuatahi is about hapūtanga (pregnancy), the connection to customary birthing practices, and mātauranga hapū. We will discuss information related to pregnancy, health, and lifestyle by applying Te Whare Tapa Whā holistic Māori model of health. Participants will make rongoā (kopa kopa oil, kopa kopa pēpi balm) and an ipu whenua (placenta container). We recommend you register to attend Whānau Mai Tuatahi around 24 weeks of pregnancy.
Whānau Mai Tuarua is about pregnancy, the connection to customary birthing practices, and mātauranga hapū. We will continue to build on our connection to cultural practice and te ao Māori, the environment, whānau, and ngā pēpi. Our Kairaranga will run a muka tie workshop where participants will create muka cord ties for your pēpi pito. We recommend you register to attend Whānau Mai Tuarua around 30 weeks of pregnancy.
