1. Hold it correctly

Place the teeth of the comb into the centre of your palm, usually across the centre of your palm. Wrap your fingers around it tightly enough to create firm pressure, but not so hard that it causes injury.

2. Use it during contractions

As a contraction builds, squeeze the comb and focus on the sensation in your hand while breathing slowly and steadily.

3. Pair it with breathing

Many mums find it works best alongside:

• deep breathing
• affirmations
• movement
• water immersion
• a Labour TENS Machine

4. Swap hands if needed

Your hand can get sore after a while, so alternate hands or
adjust the position of the comb.
