Traditional Māori Birthing Programme

We’re so proud to be opening the next intake of Te Whare Tangata, our traditional Māori birthing programme. This space has been created with so much care - a place where whānau can come to reconnect with mātauranga tuku iho, strengthen their birthing journey, and feel supported every step of the way.

If you, or someone you love, is hapū and wanting a safe, grounded, culturally‑held environment to learn, share and prepare, we welcome you with open arms.

6‑week block programme

Awarua Whānau Services - Invercargill

Classes run Tuesday evenings, 5-7.30pm.
