"I was booked for an induction and honestly, I was terrified. I’d heard so many stories about inductions being much more painful than spontaneous labour, so I wanted to do everything I could to prepare. I used the TENS machine throughout the two days it took for my induction to progress into established labour — and I truly believe it’s what got me through those early stages. It helped me stay calm and in control when the contractions were building. I only took it off when it was time to get into the birthing pool, and by that point my baby was born within 2 hours!
