Winter colds can be especially challenging with a baby. Babies and toddlers are more susceptible to illnesses because their immune systems are still developing, and they haven't been exposed to many germs yet.

When baby gets sick, it's a good idea to have some help on hand to relieve their congestion and blocked nose. This beautiful organic eucalyptus oil will become a 'must-have' in your first aid kit. It's particularly gentle which makes it suitable for babies and children (use in half doses).

Eucalyptus Blue Gum Essential Oil helps to loosen mucus and phlegm in the respiratory tract, open up the airways, reduce nasal congestion, and promote clearer breathing. The beautiful natural aroma of eucalyptus oil also provides calm and a cooling effect in the nose.

Instructions:

BABIES:

Baby 3-6 months use 2 drops in a diffuser or a drop on the collar.

6 months to 2 years add 5 drops to the diffuser and a drop on the collar.

Diffusion: The safest method for using eucalyptus oil around babies is through diffusion. Add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to a diffuser (or a humidifier that takes oils) and place it in the room where the baby sleeps or spends time. Ensure the diffuser is placed out of reach of the baby to prevent accidental ingestion or contact with the undiluted oil. DO NOT apply directly onto the skin.

Steam inhalation: Another safe method when using eucalyptus oil is a steam inhalation. Add a couple of drops of eucalyptus oil to a bowl of hot water, place it safely out of reach, and let your infant inhale the steam from a safe distance. Never allow direct contact with the hot water or oil. DO NOT apply directly onto the skin.

What is the difference between the Baby Breathe and the Eucalyptus Blue Gum?

DO NOT use until baby is 3 months of age.

3-6 months of age: use half recommend dosage.

Safe during pregnancy. Safe to use with other medication when necessary. If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health specialist. Avoid contact with eyes - flush with water. Keep out of reach of children.
